the new Portal 2 level editor is amazing simplicity. Although not nearly as in depth as the Source Engine Hammer editor, but it’s enough to let the most casual gamer to get their foot in the door. Put what I’m more impressed by the new Steam workshop database collecting all the publish work, setting up easy to download and comment immediately. Unlike most Valve Source engine mods where you have to download mod, textures and audio files. Now Valve Source Mods were never difficult to set up, in fact they were the best for the past 14 years but still it’s something not a lot of people get in the habit of checking it out.
Like I said it’s getting your foot into the door into a much bigger world of modding.
Did anyone notice the Meet the Pyro video playing in the lower right hand around 1:13 in the Portal 2 Perpetual Testing Initiative video?
since I’ve bee playing around with L4D level editor I feel compelled to give this a shot.
