“You should have listen to my warnings” by Ron Fish and Nick Arundel
it’s the 20th anniversary of Batman the animated series, so I found these old character packets that would be used in art school.
been going through some older sketches from 2008. Something to dust off and polish for today.
Joker and Harley dancing was original an idea by Justin Coffee, I honestly asked him about drawing with his permission. I’m not a scumbag about taking ideas from people. But still the idea just went into different direction just exploring ideas about movement and flow of it. It’s just one of those ideas where one single image isn’t enough. But then I’m not happy with just simplifying my style for animation. So it kinda sat there with different outcomes where to take it.
Wonder Woman one was a fun idea, but then again I got into redrawing her arm, and just making the anatomy work right, it became too much. I love the idea more my sense of humor.
Jonah Hex is my favorite comic book to pick up. Would love to make it look like a spaghetti western.
I’d normally would have gone with a longer cane, but I went with a smaller one only for the pose.
replaying Arkham City, love their penguin redesign, but still kept it a bit how I would draw him. Always open to redesign my own design of characters.
I often think of Mr Freeze from the later episodes where he’s just a head in a jar. So I doodle just going on and overly designing his suit to look even crazier. It’s fun, the way good sketches are suppose to be, just letting your mind flow.
I got a nice 24 inch montior for my PC. Been using CRT Monitors from 1997. So has this nice yellow tint but had awesome Flintstones stickers all over it. Now, I’m just a step into modern day computers, and tested it by running Batman Arkham City.
if I were to draw a Harley and Ivy comic, it’d be a lot like this 2008 piece I did. I took a lot of car in the plant designs, that’s half the fun drawing KILLER PLANTS.
